Disha participated in the Dharna organized at UGC by DUTA against the increase in teachers workload and the implementation of API system. Avinash from Disha said while addressing the gathering that as part of the Student community we stand in strong opposition to such measures which are detrimental to the spirit of learning and education in the University. Members from DUTA and FEDCUTA addressed the gathering. Despite widespread protest by the teachers the UGC has been acting in a very high handed manner which is similar to its attitude at the time of Students agitation against scraping of Non-NET fellowship. The situation today is a reminder that our entire education system and university culture is under attack where we who make the largest proportion of the university population are being ignored. We stand against all such repressive measures.
